~ G. B. Robertson Family Butchers and Hilton Wild Boar ~
Hilton Wild Boar are farmed at Hilton Farm Bridge of Earn just outside Perth . They are reared from birth by farmer Andy Johnston.
They are all kept outside as free range boar they are fed on a diet of cereals and pulses which contains all the essential vitamins for their wellbeing they also get potatoes fed daily.
once they get to us in the shop they are normally around 12 months old not like the normal pig which would be around 6 months the reason for this is that they are a much slower growing animal therfore the meat is more mature with more intense flavour than pork.

leg steaks , chump steaks , roasts and fillet.

lorne sausage , black pudding , haggis , pinwheel , sausage rolls ,

our own cured bacon (unsmoked , smoked and sweet cure)

these products are generally sold at the farmers markets and to order at the shop
